As we Christians strive to be more influenced by God’s kingdom than by this world, we’re reminded we will sometimes slip, but ‘if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness’ (1 John 1:9).

The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

There has been many leaders in the past, who has tried to take over the whole world. Each leader has failed, but every so often another steps in to try. Those people are foolish, because they do not realize that this world is already ruled by one leader; God!
Kingdoms come and go, but God’s reign has been around since the beginning of time. Our time on Earth would be better spent trying to live in peace with each other, taking care of God’s creation, and showing love, rather than trying to make a super power nation.
Let’s focus on His kingdom rather than our own.

Praise the Lord, all you who hear these words. Praise the Lord, the creator of the heavens and the earth; the land and the sea; the day and the night. Praise the Lord!
