Luminaire LED features single-frequency Amber and single-frequency Red LEDs in many of our Vandal Resistant and High Security Confinement Luminaires.
The Amber LEDs are measured at 593nm, a wavelength of light that will not disrupt the circadian rhythms of individuals while they are sleeping. They are commonly requested as nightlights in areas of confinement and in senior living facilities, and are used in turtle-friendly and wildlife-friendly spaces.
The Red LEDs are measured at 621nm, a wavelength that will not disrupt one’s night vision. They are commonly found on military bases, in senior living facilities, firehouses, and in vivarium-friendly environments.
Luminaire LED can provide single-frequency Amber and Red LEDs as nightlights on independent circuits, or we can populate entire LED boards using these LEDs.
