When Vania was very young, the IPC came to her planet to colonize it. Her father, the sole owner of a fairly well respected flower company, sold out to the IPC entirely, causing him to become a wealthy capitalist and causing wife to leave him with his infant daughter.
Vania, his only daughter, has spent her life being ignored unless she is specifically expected to show up to a public event where she’s treated like a trophy by her father. It’s to the point where most people on her planet don’t even know that her father has a child at all. Left on her own most of the time, Vania spends hours and hours playing her favorite video games under the pseudonym “Princess Manic.” She became so good at playing games that she began to learn to hack and mod them for her own amusement.
When she started to play with others online, she was introduced to the idea of aether hacking, which she took to like a fish to water. While “Vania” is known as a spoiled rich girl who hardly speaks and never leaves her room, “Princess Manic” is quickly becoming known as one of the most dangerous aether hackers in the universe, now with a high bounty from the IPC. From seemingly harmless pranks to reprogramming and ruining lives, there doesn’t seem to be much Manic won’t do.
Her rising infamy reaches the ears of Silver Wolf, who dislikes her on principle. From their few “meetings” in the past, Silver Wolf has cemented that negative view of her when it appeared that Manic doesn’t seem to have any values. She doesn’t care about other people because she has never had anyone care for her. She doesn’t know what love feels like, so she doesn’t know how to feel it for others. This lack of empathy has made her a target all around the universe, and truly earns her the name “Maniac.”
