Kids Mixte Proto #2
This one was built with Vertical drops so that we could play with internally geared hubs and with standard (external) drivetrains. I like the cleanliness of an internal hub, but I also like to see what's happening with my bike.
Ideally my kids will learn how to work on their own bikes. Having equipment that they can see the cause and effect will go a long way in helping them learn.
That and the fact that changing the rear wheel is quite tough with the Alfine rear hub, make this bike a good candidate for an external 1x9 drivetrain.
