Horizon announces new product line- Vaterra
Looks like these guys have noticed the sales figures of companies like Axial, HPI, Traxxas, and Losi, and seeing as Horizon has a stake in all of these companies its no surprise that they have taken designs from each company. Looking at their new RC line I see a Baja remake, and HPI Sprint series cars right off the bat. There other cars include a 1/10th scale rock racer (axial exo terra) and some Rally cars too.
The price point on each is right there or better then there counterparts, but the bigger question will be quality. As with most lower priced products in this hobby they will most likely be stricken with some more brittle plastics and brushed motors. Im sure in the near future there will be hopped up versions but for now they want people to jump into the "Vanterra" bandwagon. The future will be an interesting one. I cant wait to see how these turn out..
Release date is stated to be early March, we'll see about that. My insider will keep me posted
