“Is this too much --- ?” she questions, spinning around to get a view of herself in the full length mirror, before turning her attention to her best friend. Harlow felt so fortunate for the fact that Gucci offered to dress her for her premiere -- but now came the difficult part . . . choosing which stunning gown she’d wear on the big night. “Model Harlow would’ve worn this in a heartbeat -- but I don’t know if this is the right vibe for ACTRESS me”
CASTING ANNOUNCEMENT: THE LUNAR CHRONICLES
so congratulations to the cast and crews of the lunar chronicles franchise! cinder was a hit, scarlett is breaking records, and it’s official: cress will be coming to theaters near you in the fall of 2019.
if you don’t know about the series, it’s essentially a futuristic take on some of your favorite fairytales. cinder was cinderella, scarlett was little red riding hood, and cress is going to be based on rapunzel. the best known face on the cast right now is jaron nicotero playing carswell thorne ( the shining star in the second movie, if i do say so myself ), but he’s not going to be the best known for much longer.
two crucial roles in the series ( and the people who are going to play them ) were announced at the lunar chronicles panel today, and i have to say, this casting crew has given a great christmas present to all of us.
the titular character of the third movie, cress darnell, will be played by america’s sweetheart vanessa baylor. vanessa is best known for her role on shame, and i am definitely excited to see her shine. now i don’t want to give away too much about what’s coming up ( spoiler alert: i know how to read books! ) but i have to say i’m very excited to see what vanessa brings to the role of cress.
the other role that was announced at today’s panel was jacin clay. jacin is a crucial piece in not only the third movie, but the fourth -- if the third doesn’t flop. now, with jaron tied to a project? it wasn’t long before his boyfriend -- oh wait, sorry, he’s dating veronica now -- it wasn’t long before his “best friend” was brought into the franchise as well. that’s right friends, carter slade will be playing jacin and he’s absolutely perfect for the part.
are you excited to see this trio working together in 2019? tell us about it!
a bottle of wine tucked under one arm & a supersized bag of takeout from mr chow’s dangling from the other, carter raps on the door of the baylor compound three times like he’s done many times before. according to tmz, philanthropy icons robert & monique were hosting some celebrity auction for the homeless & wouldn’t be home till late, which meant he & vanessa would have the place to themselves. rocking back & forth on his heels, carter hums an unfamiliar tune under his breath as he waits for the door to swing open. “special delivery.” he says as greeting, offering his friend a devastating grin. “hope you don’t mind, i decided to leave the gift basket at home — i did bring the wine, though.”
@vanwssas gets a starter.

37. talk about someone you thought you were in love with.
amy woodstock in the fourth grade. i stole her a set of paint brushes that she really liked from the art room one day to prove my worth in her life. in return, she narc’d, got me detention for a week and i will never love again.

talk about something someone told you that meant a lot
when i was seventeen, we had this hollywood hot shot guest direct an episode of spellbound. i guess he was trying to get in with the teen set, or whatever. anyway, one morning he just bursts into my trailer. looking back, i’m pretty sure he was wasted, but he just bursts in & starts waxing philosophic about the woes of the industry. most of it was absolute nonsense, but there was one thing he said that really stood out to me: carson — he thought my name was carson, go figure — make every second count. fame is a fickle mistress. all of this could be gone in an instant. not exactly words of wisdom, but something about them stuck with me. nothing’s permanent, you know? i’m sure he doesn’t remember it, but i don’t think i’ll ever forget.

21. talk about a time you had to turn someone down.
“life gives you a lot of opportunities... earlier today i’d had a conversation with a girl at the coffee place and she offered me the opportunity to follow her on instagram. if you couldn’t already tell where this was going, it was one i had to refuse.”
22. talk about your worst fear.
“i don’t want to talk about bear in the big blue house.”
25. talk about an ex-best friend.
“how about just an ex friend? even then i don’t have a lot to say. hollywood is, like, the best place to be dramatic and, well, some people take full advantage of it. whether it’s throwing a temper tantrum or a pity party, some people seem to manage to find a way to make absolutely every damn thing about them.”
