Somehow, in the middle of all this silliness, Var has managed to get to Notability 14. 

One more level!! One!!!!! Then their Notability is getting cashed in for the Watchful boost, and capping SotC is going to HAPPEN. (Because I’ve been saving a rare Mood card for precisely that reason, for months.)

[Text from the Private Debating Lessons option from the interview with Mr Huffam for the Hallowmas Gazette 1896: "A rather nice day, isn't it?" Mr Huffam begins the interview. You wonder what he can mean by this outrageous remark. You ask him to qualify what he means by 'nice' and 'rather' and 'day' and 'it'. Mr Huffam slumps into a seat with an expression of harassed horror. The interview continues in this tenor.

The resulting article in the Gazette is headlined 'Mayor's Sinister Scheme to Corrupt the Population!' You can probably count this as a success.]

Crimes committed by one (1) Insatiable Academic:

2 or more counts of deliberate arson (2 that I can remember but it’s probably more), enough murders to have Bringer of Death 4, stealing more than 50 Bazaar Permits, plotting to kill a Master, general revolutionary nonsense, and singing so badly one time that an Inspector of the law thought it was an assassination attempt against Mr Wines.

I started the house repairs exceptional story and Var’s about to lose the plot over their lodgings going to shit.

A while back I decided Var’s Firebrand’s real name is Bertram Willoughby, to reflect that I decided his background is that of a rebellious son of an aristocratic family who took his inheritance and ran off to the Neath to do revolutionary things (after a messy break up with the Secular Missionary)

It’s a very posh sounding name

So I’ve been discussing with my friends if him and Var would go for a double-barrel surname and I kind of want to say they would because Sheridan-Willoughby is such a ridiculous mouthful
