Fanfiction - BEREAVED (Maldraas)
As if being assaulted by the sun, Malgus shields himself away from the frivolity of Adraas’s outfit. Upon hearing the mention of his Eleena, he grabs Adraas by the scruff of his shirt and vest with clammy hands, speaking through the spaces between his teeth, he utters a curse on Adraas, one that will last for as long as his guilt will.
“Had I known it was you Adraas, I would not have answered!” His bloodshot eyes scorch a searing heat on him. “You are louder than the sun.” He releases his hands from him while turning away, the garish colours of Adraas’s clothes burn his sensitive, sore retinas.
“I am touched you think of me so highly.” Adraas smoothes the wrinkles Malgus made on his suit.
“That was not a compliment.” Heading back towards the safety of his house, he leaves the door open, allowing Adraas to enter.

That line about answering the door is the first thing I wrote for this. It was too good to ignore. I love the dynamic between Malgus & Adraas and it humbles me to say that there are only 2 works under this tag and they are both mine.
