SOME VARDA THOUGHTS /
Varda has always come off as the more headstrong one between her and Manwe. She is the one most willing to act and act directly to protect the Children of Iluvatar & destroy Melkors dark influence. She does what she knows needs to be done because she knows Manwe struggles to.
It pains Manwe to be the firm hand or the punisher, thus he really has to be forced into that role for it to be so. Otherwise he tends to be too soft & things like the Feanor situation or Numenors ruin take place.
She is the person who, once she sees a problem, wants to fix it as quickly and effectively as possible. Varda is far from cruel, only firm. She is best at seeing what needs to be done and doing it. Only Eru or Manwes word can stop her, as she would not act against her husband or creator.
