If you hare the manga so much can you just... not post about it? I'm sure you'll be a lot happier. Also a lot of people who like the manga and have basically nowhere to go about midlink would come here and it's kinda just depressing having the only really active midlink blog hate on it so much now out of nowhere. I am not asking for you to change your opinion, but can we just agree to disagree and leave it at that?

I’ve made exactly two posts of my own volition talking about my dislike for the manga; any other posts I’ve made have been been direct responses to other people, like this unsolicited and needlessly accusatory essay someone left me or the very polite ask I received yesterday that flat-out asked me why I don’t like it.  Though this is not a Manga Hate Blog and never will be - and I go out of my to emphasize that people who like the manga are more than welcome here - my reasons for not liking it are perfectly legitimate, and if you’re that bothered by the expression of that opinion on a blog that I alone operate, it might be best for you to unfollow me.  It’s important for people to learn not to take criticism of things they like as criticism of their character, but I don’t want to cause anyone needless stress simply by posting as I usually do.  Which - if it was making me unhappy in any way - I wouldn’t be doing at all, I can assure you.

All that said, I’ve already made my dislike for the manga pretty clear, and until some new developments come to light, I can’t imagine that I’ll be making many more posts specific to the topic, because again, this is a Twilight Princess blog, not a Manga Hate Blog.  And despite my disdain for it (or perhaps in part because of), I’ve even joined a small scanlation team that is hoping to bring the remaining chapters of the manga to English-speaking fans, starting where the last scanlation team left off!  So, you know.  There’s that.

TL;DR: I’m not going to promise I’ll never make another mention of the fact that I don’t like the manga, as this is my own blog and I have more than the right to do so - but it will never, ever be the focus of the content here, because that would be just straight-up boring.  And stay tuned for updates on those scans, by the way - we’ve really got something good going here!

After you play LA, I strongly reccomend the oracle games. Probably the most complex dungeons in the entire series. If you are like me, whose favorite things about zelda are the story and dungeons(and judging by what you said about botw this is likely.. please dungeons in botw2!), you will love oracles.

Sorry for getting to this ask a bit late - I definitely plan on playing the Oracle games eventually!  My biggest hangup, sadly, is that the games haven’t aged very well (it’s why I haven’t beat Link’s Awakening, but plan on doing so with the remake; the new art style is incredibly cute), but it’s nothing enough sheer determination couldn’t look past.  And yeah, hard agree - BotW2 better have proper dungeons, or there will be blood.

The midlink fandom is rising from its grave Altered Beast style because of the manga and I could not be happier. The manga is so freaking good, but imagine how amazing it would be jf at its conclusion, nintendo decided to let it be a full anime?! Who would you want to voice midna and link in a sub or dub?

Dang, hit me right in my weak spot, huh?  I’m really not too familiar with many voice actors, so these answers will be pretty subpar, but I’ll do my best!

For a sub, Link is quite obvious: it’d have to be Akira Sasanuma, who did the “voice” for all of Link’s various grunts in Twilight Princess.  Now, Midna…Maaya Sakamoto seems like a good fit, in my eyes?  I’m thinking specifically of her role in Ouran High School Host Club, where she voiced Haruhi Fujioka (the avatar on my main blog, and yes, this is totally me being biased)–it’s higher in octave, without being too feminine, and I think she could totally pull off both her imp and true forms with a simple change in pitch.

As for a dub… Dang, where to even begin?  The only male voice actor that even comes to mind is Dante Basco, whom we all know and love as Prince Zuko, but that’s exclusively because I love that role a lot–but it’s hard to imagine Link speaking in a language that I can understand, when he’s been the silent protagonist for so long.  But if Basco had to voice any of the Links…? …I definitely think Twilight would be the best fit.

Oh!  Oh, I’ve got it!  For Midna, I’d like Kimiko Glenn.  I thought of her because of her role in Ducktales, where she voices Webby’s friend Lena, but it looks like she also voiced Peni Parker in the new Spider-Verse movie, which is extra cool!  The perfect amount of impish and sassy.

(Also, don’t go getting my hopes up like this!  It’s an impossible dream!  In a perfect universe, maybe…)

Cosa Nostra is fucking incredible and I love EVERYTHING about this! This is also how I see my favorite wlwolves as well! Everything about their charachtetization, as well as the brief snippets of the rest of the PL gang as well. One thing I wpuld love to see in the future? You know how ATLA had "field trips with zuko"? Well I would love to see the PL go on "field trips with Lappland! XD BTW could I get your permission to do a fan dub of the fic? I would of course credit you as the author.

Hi! I am so terribly sorry for the late response -- I’m not on tumblr much, let alone sideblogs; at this point it’s probably better yelling at me on twitter or AO3 because at least I get email/push notifications for those. Tumblr seems ... like a shambling ship held together by tape and spit ... or maybe I’ve finally fallen to the same issue of inboxes eating asks, which many people got plagued by years ago. But, I digress.

Thanks for enjoying Cosa Nostra! As my first fic into the fandom, I wasn’t sure how it’d be received -- all I wanted was to share my self-indulgent and gratuitous headcanons. Haha, actually, I’ve been working on a story in that vein -- Lappland’s field trips through Terra, though not quite in the style you were envisioning. Look forwards to it soon!
