Dandys might be a show that is comparatively nice and sweet to its main character robot but i like to think vees virus might have been unnerving in ways easily missed by or looked over flesh and blood kids and heck likely the writers. might have had a gag where a piece of her falls off for the Halloween episode but its fine look just reattach and its fine. Or might have had gags where vee is immune to pain for a bit, only to go Ow later since writers just don't quite relate to her due to all the robot maiming in media. No human seems to flinch when a robot gets torn apart on tv, the human kids don't, and that may potentially spread to other toons. I guess its less like Vee is desensitized and more like she's kinda surrounded by a world of folks desensitized to mechanical destruction. She's squeamish but sometimes it feels like the horror she sees, she feels is kinda invisible to others. Might feel crazy or like she should suck it up. Her own stage is covered in free wires, she's surrounded by machines that get regularly taken apart for repairs, she feels silly when wincing at a wires being cut with pliers. Does Dandy wince when flowers and roots and branches are simularly cut with pliers? Gardeners and mechanics looking like tactless surgeons on a good day and butchers on a bad one.

I LOVE THIS ANALYSIS

I do say, Vee might've been difficult for the show writers to write. Like you noted in this analysis. It makes me wonder if her roboticness varied from episode to episode due to a variety in writers. She went from emotionless and unfeeling to goofy and gimmicky. I feel like the writers really didn't take her too seriously. Which sucks.

The idea that she had a ton of running gag with tearing off limbs and other robot gore stuff that still deeply unsettles Vee. No one else is as disturbed as she is by broken machinery or loose wires. Its weird to her and other toons.

As for Dandy, I feel like they, alongside other plant toons, have to have their leaves pruned and trimmed. So maybe not as much as vee's disturbence.
