Can Mushrooms Save the Honey Bee? | bioGraphic
Beehives and frames can be made from Amadeu (or other mushrooms like Chaga or Tinder) mycelium and almond shells, which would allow almond waste products to be used as a wood substitute. In addition, innoculating the beehive and frames with mushroom spores, would provide bee’s access to the many anti-viral properties bees in nature derive from eating fresh mushrooms and spores growing on the mycelium almond shell beehive and frames.
