Kreo: Patiently the bird ventures off, far into the vast world. Through their venture, they finally discover, that there’s so much out there to explore..~

-her voice reverb through the cave as she sung-

Audi: Do ya enjoy being creepy?

-she paused in place and spun on her heel to face her-

Kreo: You enjoy being a brute.

Audi: Keh, at least I’m savage!

-upon jokingly dabbing Kreo rolled her eyes and turned back around to continue onward-

Audi: Where ya going?

Kreo: To do my job. I advise you to return to her and do your own.

Audi: Hmph! Yer such a kill joy. Vedha would’ve wanted to hang out.

-her last statement was more of a whisper but Kreo still clearly heard-

Kreo: Don’t Compare me to that ignorant bird-brain.

-Audi visibly took a step back at the sudden coldness and foul aura Kreo emitted. She watches Kreo disappear into the darkness. Her ears faltered and hung low. When she turned to walk away she muttered-

Audi: What the hell happened to you..?

Zyfrielus Information

Definition:  Varse/(Plural)Varces: Different version/s of oneself that are like personifications of their human. How a person views themself or what they wish they were like. With their human, they can be experienced as imaginary friends, ghosts, and creation. Mentally though, they can create worlds and universes as a way to express creativity and or a mental escape for their human. 

A universe that I’ve based on reality and fantasy. In this universe exists Varces. Varces are beings that everyone has, they are created during early childhood and evolve throughout time. Their development depends on the experience their human goes through. Some may even encompass only a sector of their personality.

They exist in the fantasy/creative side of their human’s brain. Meaning they hold power in mental creation and can create universes, stories, and worlds within their human’s mind. A fantasy plane that most people escape to and just imagine what could be versus reality. A Varse or Varces can see everything that their humans do and they take what they’ve viewed and implement it into their creations.

They can even motivate or hinder their human. For example, if a person is in a very gloomy state, their Varse though invisible would try to convince them to keep hope. The Varse would do this by speaking/recalling happy memories and mentioning things that they could look forward to. So it’s like a mental conversation.

Most humans are not aware they have a Varse/Varces and just sum up their internal conversations as just them keeping/talking to themselves. Intrusive thoughts and dreams are also caused by Varces. When their human sleeps their creativity shines. Be it good or bad. And the things they share may not even make sense.

Varces can also leave their human to enter another human to interact with their Varse/Persona. This can only happen when their humans know each other and are willingly reaching out to speak to another. This interaction allows the Varces to have a chance to meet; creativity meeting another. They can build off each other and the stronger the sphere of influence is, they’ll be able to interact without needing their humans to be next to each other.

Kreo is a Varse created at the age of 5. Kreo began as an imaginary friend that sprouted into something more. She encompasses negative emotions, perspectives, and actions.

Vedha started to form at the age of 13 but truly was created at the age of 16. Vedha began as a hope, a new view in life and the desire to change to be a better person. They encompass positive emotions, perspectives, and actions. 

A Varse can create another to take its place or assimilate into their human’s other varse. This can be seen with Kreo. She created Leif to maintain the duality. So once Vedha assimilated her, balance in their human’s mind is maintain. Not all humans have a duality to maintain, it varies. The need for duality can fade over time. Leif in particular is both a creator/varse in Zyfrielus and a Gaurdian in his universes.

It is possible for Varces to die. They grow and change with their human. However, the state they die in is all on their human.

Asteri and Kreo’s relationship

The pair met early in their humans’ childhood lives but strayed apart when their humans did. They always had a strained relationship. 

Asteri didn’t have a clue of Vedha’s appearance/presence. So when she came back into Kreo’s life, Vedha was already gone/dormant. 

To make up for lost time, she tries to get close to Kreo and show that she cares for her well-being. Kreo had to adjust to this invasion but still kept her at arm’s length.

She never told Asteri her plans in regards to Vedha. So Asteri had to learn about it at the last minute. And there was nothing she could do and she didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye.

When Vedha becomes the main/only Varse of her human’s friend, Asteri tried to remain cordial. She never confides into Vedha about Kreo. And usually stays away from bringing up her name in general.

In time, Vedha and Asteri do become close friends. When together their ideas can be all over the place and pretty much wreak havoc. But in quiet moments, she still thinks about her and it took her a while to stop blaming herself. 

Though she doesn’t agree with Kreo’s decisions/actions she had to come to terms with her choice. Despite how defensive and aggressive Kreo could be, she still listened to her and in her own way tried to reciprocate affection. She misses her.

Zyfrielus: The Lovers #1

“Oi! Bird heads! Bean bunch! Where are you two?” Audi’s voice echoed through the forest. “It’s too damn dark here.” “I think it’s quite pleasant.”

She stops in place and scans the tree tops.  “Sure like this creepy shit don’t ya Kreo!” “I wouldn’t call it creepy~!” A gust of wind descends a few feet from her, scattering dust momentarily. As the dust settled, the figure rises up and fixes their posture and giggled. “There’s a kind of calmness in nature that the city doesn’t really have~”

“More like exposing yourself to more insects and annoying chirps.” She grumbled her retort and leaned against the nearest tree. “I’ll never understand why you guys love the woods.” “The irony. Aren’t you a werewolf.” 

Realizing the voice was coming from the tree she was leaning against she grinned. “I could say the same, hanging around an angel while you’re also a demon.”  “Touché.” In seconds of her response, she gracefully descends besides Vedha. 

Her landing barely startled the dirt. She raised a brow. “What brings you here Audi. You must be quite bored.”  With crossed arms Vedha chides with a huff, “That a rude assumption Kreo! Maybe she wants to hang out with us~”

“Yea, maybe I want to hang out with ya’ll.” Though her tone was slightly sarcastic Vedha didn’t catch it. But Kreo did and shot her a disbelieving stare which causes Audi to pout. “Why do you always assume I wanna just come here cause I’m bored?” “It wouldn’t be the first time.” “Kreo!” 

Vedha throws themselves onto Kreo, clinging onto her back as they started flapping their head wings close to her face. “Go away pessimism! Go away!” “Oi! Stop that- Birdie! Gah! Get off my back, you’re going to-” She lost her balance when trying to pry them off. Once she lost her footing they both fell face first. Mainly Kreo though, since Vedha was on her back.

While Kreo grumbled in the dirt Audi was breaking down in laughter. “You both are p-e-r-f-e-c-t  for each other.” She teased. “Grrr.” There wasn’t any aggression in her tone but it was clear as day she was embarrassed.  “You hear that Kreo~! Even Audi says we’re perfect together~!” 

At this point Kreo wanted to dive in a lake and disappear from sight. Her face was so red that she dared not move as Vedha affectionately rubbed their face against her. She knew Audi was amused by this. It took some time but once Kreo regained her composure she manifests a circular table, chairs, and tea. 

The three sat at the table ready to attempt to converse. Vedha pours tea inside Audi’s cup and passes it to her. “So Audi, do you have new for us?” “Besides the game’s progress nope. My human is struggling with the coding still. We may end up scrapping the whole project.”

“You can’t give up so soon! Maybe you guys could ask for help or look on the web?” “Ughh.. that’s so much work.” “Make time for it.” Kreo takes a sip from her cup. “Until you’ve exhausted all options available to you, you mustn’t give up."

“Easier said than done.” She moped. “Well.. baby steps~!” Their attempt to be supportive was met with a exasperated sigh. “How can you stand her?” Kreo stiffens and Vedha’s head wings slightly faltered.

“Meaning.” She carefully inquires. Audi closed her eyes and slouches in her chair, carelessly outstretched her feet onto the table. “Her optimism. It’s like no matter what we talk about she’s always looking at the bright side. Like can ya tone it down a notch, it’s funny to watch but it can get annoying.”

She clearly wasn’t paying attention. If she had been, she would’ve noticed Vedha shaking. Gently Kreo rests a hand onto one of theirs, bringing them back to their senses. Quietly their hands moved and they firmly held each other underneath the table.

“At least Vedha has some manners.”  Audi opens an eye as she grins. “Tsk! Who needs manners when ya got a hammer!” Manifesting a hammer she threw the tea cup in the air and in a swift motion she slammed the hammer into it.

The shards impale the table and Vedha tries to hide behind Kreo. With a leg on the table and the other on her chair, Audi cackles, “Now let’s get down to business!” Kreo had kept her composure and as she took a sip from her cup she tried to calm Vedha.

Having known her for a while, she already knew what Audi was going on about. Yet it irritated her that she hadn’t brought the subject up more subtly. “I’m not amused. If you wanted advice on your story line, you could’ve brought it up before speaking on the project’s progress and your human’s coding issues.”

“I could’ve, but I’m random af sooo suck it!”  “I’d rather fall into lava, brute.” Leaving her cup she took Vedha into her lap and lovingly held them close. “If you want my assistance then take a seat. Calm yourself, your outburst of energy is intimidating... her.”

Relenting she obeys and went back to slouching against her seat. “Ughh!! Fine! Now will ya listen to me?” Audi momentarily felt like they were falling but in seconds possibly less, the feeling was gone. The first thing she noticed was the vast stars that surrounded them. It looked like they were in space.

“Whoa.. what is this place?” “It’s my domain. My creation sphere.” Kreo summons a glowing orb and it floats to the center of the table. “Well? I’m waiting.” Getting the hint Audi grins and began sharing the key details.

Her story line had big plot holes and with Kreo’s help most were covered up or that portion of the tale was altered. Vedha appeared to have dozed off, so after the pair had finished discussing the plot, Audi was up and out. Before she left, she told Kreo to tell ‘her’ she’s sorry for the table outburst.

The truth be told, Kreo didn’t need to tell ‘her’, Vedha was still awake and listening. “...K-Kreo..” “Yes?” “...Does Audi hate me?” “No.. She’s just crass at times.. Try not to take her words close to heart.”

“..Do you think she knows?” “...I...Do you want her to know?” “...No...I don’t want her to look at me differently. Though.. she jokes around and teases us.. I don’t think she supports..I.. I-I don’t want us to be seen differently.. please...don’t tell her..”

Heaving a sigh she stroked their head and gently scratches the base of a wing. Earning a humming sound that was close to a purr. “I won’t.” Clasping her hand Vedha pulls it to their face, rubbing their cheek into her palm. “Promise?” Pulling them close she pressed her forehead against theirs. “I promise...”

“...We’ll keep this to ourselves...” “...To my self...”
