So that Vaselgel both control, does it prevent someone from ejaculating? Or only block sperm? How is a blockage safe? I would think it could cause a buildup issue, of course I'm no expert, and would love to learn!
It’s been a while since I read about the procedure but I doubt it’s changed.
Basically, they inject a certain type of “magnetic” gel that allows the passage of everything except sperm. Sperm cells are ripped apart from the “magnetic pull” of the gel, so there’s no build up (in any case, sperm cells naturally dissolve and return if they go unused - the testicles are constantly recycling, which is why vasectomies are fine).
The gel DOES allow ejaculation, it just prevents sperm from joining the seminal fluids. The gel is very effective at destroying sperm alone, but its placement only allows it to destroy sperm that is being ejaculated, so that it’s not a true sterilization and the removal of the gel returns everything to normal.
