Dear Gus,
Your mother and I just started watching Treme and the first episode includes a scene from a Kermit Ruffins show at Vaughan’s. I loved Vaughan’s when I lived in New Orleans. Kermit played his trumpet there every Thursday night for over 20 years. Seeing it on television made me miss it.
Coincidentally, I didn’t take a photo today, so I went digging through my photo archives to see what I could post from a previous March 1. Lo and behold, on this date seven years ago, I was watching Kermit Ruffins at Vaughan’s. The universe is funny sometimes.
