I am now utilizing Indexes (the dark blue often-center dots) for the Leaves. The way I see it, is the Topic Index is the stalk or trunk of the plant, and the individual pages are the Leaves of the plant, with the branches forming as those Leaves come together with other Leaves with links. The General Idea of my Vault Structure is like this..
So Example: for every time I am reading an Astrology Book, and they decide to dive into the signs, I can link back to the main page for that Sign; and then later as I refine data, I can go back through the backlinks and decide if I want to add that data to the main page. It will also help me keep sources pretty clear, because what moves to the main page should stay in the Book Page and just be Copied over to the Topic-Leaf Page.
So back to the Astrology Book Example, so every time they mention the attributes of Leo in certain aspects, that gets noted down in the Book Page, but while linking to the Leo Page. Then, eventually, I can go back and reread, decide what I will include into the main Leo Page that gets referenced directly for that sign. And should I ever wonder, hey where did this fact about Leos come from? I should be able to look into my back links or graph, go through the different books Leo sections, and find that bit of info sourced. Do y'all follow?
Did I mention, this is free? The graph just comes with it, the backlinks capabilities just comes with it, straight out the box. It's excellent!
This also means that, back to that example, should I ever decide I don't vibe with a certain bit of info on the Leo Page, I can delete that info off the page-- but I will never actually be deleting the info because it will be backed up in it's Book Page/Source Page.
