What does buttons think of the Vault-Tec workshop/vault 88? How does he react to the sole survivor becoming the overseer?
Automatron completed and all achievements unlocked, I ended up liking this DLC more than I thought. 10€/$ is a bit too pricey for it tho, 5 sounds more reasonable. Or just get the Season pass I guess.
I’m exploring the south end of the map a little more before heading to Vault 88 and starting the Vault-tec workshop DLC.
He thinks he’s helping.
I put a pond in my Vault. :J
Alright, I just completed the vault-tec workshop DLC and...meh, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a mixed bag, they give you all the cool pieces to build with but restrict you by giving you an area to build in that isn’t well designed for building a huge vault, and it results in a lot of objects clipping through the walls and rocks.
Some tunnels are so small you can’t do anything with them. And before anyone says “yeah but it’s more realistic that way or it would feel too gamey” i’ll point out that you’re scrapping uranium and train cars with your bare hands so realism was thrown out the window before the DLC even started. Another big frustration was that the lights don’t snap to walls or ceilings, but power transmitters do, so it’s not like Bethesda wasn’t capable of including a few snap nodes.
In the end, my Vault shall remain an unfinished project because my game crashed after 40 minutes of connecting wires and my quicksave got corrupted so fuck it. That’s 40 minutes of my life I’m not getting back, thanks Todd.
Vault 88: A settlement with 21 settlers, one robot named Jules, art gallery, retro diner, 3-D walkthrough replica of the Clue board game, steampunk industrial themed shopping mall, underground garden with grow lights, exercise gym with locker room, medical center in the University Pharmacy building, and a MInutemen outpost in the ruined subway station to guard the exit near Fallon's department store.
More images from my Vault 88 settlement in Fallout 4, showing my optometrist, art gallery, locker room, garden, general store, and more.
Watch the entire tour on Youtube.
Just Got the Fallout 4 Vault-Tec Workshop DLC. Wow, I’ve been missing out.
The Sarah Lyons-free plot is severely lacking as fuck, and Far Harbor is little more than an upgraded Point Lookout, but this Vault-Tec Workshop
IT’S FALLOUT MEETS SIMS!!! YES!!!
Bethesda I hereby forgive you for all your sins, legion as they may be.
