In class exercise focused on using sound in motion design. This is the second of two videos using this same track of running water.
#MotionDesign test for exercise 2. In this test the focus is more on the actual statistics rather than focuses on all the information at once.

Process Sketches for exercise 2 in motion design. This video is about all the data I’m racking up driving from Northern Indiana to Kent, Ohio every week.
A quick little Adobe After Effects experiment using type and a few simple motion patterns to create a trailer for the book, Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath. If you haven’t read it already you should head to your local library or brick-n-mortar book store and pick it up.
Blog Post #2
I took a look at a few different tutorials that focused on kinetic typography using the camera tool in Adobe After Effects. The first tutorial (Basic Typography and Motion Graphics) was interesting but it got a little long towards the end. I originally thought that this tutorial was going to show how to rotate text, which it didn’t, so I went looking for another tutorial. The second tutorial (How to Kinetic Typography Tutorial) was much more interesting. This tutorial was a little harder to follow due to the heavy accent of the narrator but after a minute or two I was able to catch on. This tutorial covers the rotation and motion you typically see when you search for kinetic typography videos on Vimeo or Youtube.
The animated .gif below is what I created while watching these two tutorials. This piece goes with the song “We are Young” by FUN.
