One thing I adore about being a performer is that, as a genderfluid person, I can embody characters of different genders and bring my own truths to all of them. Gender and performance are often one and the same for me; I can escape the concept of even having a gender about as seldom as I can escape performing for others. For the next two weekends on Friday and Sunday, I get to transform from a dainty Regency lady in the first act to a ghostly 18th-century baronet in the second.
