Diavolo sways from side to side with you, humming softly into your ear. You two decided to have a secret rendezvous at the gazebo after dinner and when the crickets and frogs started to sing, he asked you to dance. It wasn’t so much dancing as it was hugging and swaying back and forth.
He suddenly stops and makes you pull away to look at him. You squeal when he spins you and holds your back to his front, giggles escaping you as he wraps his strong arms around your waist. “There’s a shooting star. Make a wish,” he whispers into your ear.
You tilt your head back and look up at the sky, finding the shooting star quickly. You watch it with a smile on your face, your body leaning into Diavolo’s. “Why would I make a wish when I have everything I want right here with me?” you ask softly. He hums in your ear before spinning you around to face him again.
“When did you become such a smooth talker?” he teases, lowering his face closer to yours.
“When I realized that the Lord Diavolo isn’t as big and bad as he seems. You’re just a soft teddy bear that likes hearing sugar-sweet words,” you tease right back with a smirk. He chuckles at this before finally connecting your lips, the kiss barely lasting since you two are smiling too much.
“I love you, my lord.” Another laugh from him.
“I love you more, my star,” he whispers before giving you another kiss. Guess he’s adding a new pet name to the already long list.

Your heart flutters in your chest as Mammon sings loudly and carelessly along to whatever cheesy love song is playing on the radio. It might not sound the best but to you, it was better than the singer.
He quickly removes the waffles from the waffle maker, hissing when the hot, fluffy bread stings his fingers a bit. It happens every time since he wants to grab it with his hands instead of using something to get it.
“And voilá! Our breakfast is complete!” he says dramatically as he sets a tower of cherry waffles on a single plate onto the table in front of you. You eye the stack, watching the heat rise from them.
“They look great, baby,” you say sweetly, stabbing one with a fork to bring to your plate. “Do you think we can finish them all though?” you ask curiously as you add syrup to the top of them. He shrugs as he sits across from you, only his head visible from the stack between you two.
“We can try. If we can’t, we can give them to Beel,” he replies happily, grabbing one from the top and starting to eat it with his hands. “Ooh! Hot! Hot!” he screeches, quickly blowing air out of his mouth. You laugh at him as you hand him the syrup.
“Blow on it then, dummy,” you say fondly. You then try one and hum at the sweet flavor. “They do taste good though,” you compliment, watching his eyes light up at the praise.
“Of course they do! I made them, after all!”

You wipe the tears from your eyes as your laughter calms down, your stomach and cheeks hurting from how much and hard you’ve been laughing. You turn to Mammon once the tears are cleared from your eyes, finding his cheeks flushed from all the laughter.
Once he calms down, he slowly turns his head to look at you. His eyes widen when he finds you already looking at him, a huff leaving him as he turns his eyes away to stare up at the stars again instead.
“What are ya looking at weirdo?” he grumbles, his hands starting to play with the grass below you both. You giggle as you turn on your side to stare at him more intently just to bug him.
“You,” you reply simply, giggling more when his cheeks light up further.
“But why?” he asks, suddenly turning on his side to stare right back at you. You don’t back down though, your gaze softening as you study the intricate details of his face.
“Because I love you,” you whisper to your boyfriend. His cheeks get even darker, if possible, as he scoffs.
“Yeah, whatever. Ya dumb human...” he mumbles, closing his eyes to avoid looking at you. You laugh at his reply, scooting forward until you two are touching noses.
“Mammon, we’ve been dating for years. I’m sure you love me too. So, why don’t you just say it?” you whisper, closing your own eyes. You hear him huff for the nth time, making you laugh through your nose at how stubborn he is.
“No thanks,” he whispers. His breath smells of the fruit you two brought for your midnight adventure.
“Please?” you breathe, your hand coming up to rest on his chest. After a beat of silence, you hear him sigh.
“I love you, (Y/n).”
