“… – What are Wombles?”
“Um. They’re like-- fuzzy hedgehogs? But without the spikes? You know, I’m not actually sure what they are. But they had a television series in the seventies. For children and such.”
???.
“No, I am not..You and your friend seemed..out of place is all.”
Merlin motions towards Door, looking at the man. Throughout his life he had seen people out of place like this, but most were those he felt shouldn’t be interacted with. Something about this man though, was different.
“Aye! Because we’re-- Londoners!”
Said the Scotsman with the Scottish accent, having started with a stereotypically Scottish word. To be fair, though, he is technically a Londoner. And so is Door! It’s just, you know, a different London.
“My friend and I are just sightseeing. That’s all.”

Now, it isn’t as though Richard hasn’t tried terribly to think up something smart to say. As it turns out, he’s been raking his mind for a clever little comment ever since he left London Above behind ( on purpose, this time, properly, this time, for good, this time ) and the best he could come up with had been so cringeworthy that he doesn’t even want to think about it anymore.
( It had been something about one door closing and all that sort of stuff. Terrible, honestly. )
So instead, he stands there when he sees her again, and supposes that, right now, he feels a lot like he had when they’d drank that Atlantean wine. Except, well, better. In that way people must always feel when they’re finally where they’re supposed to be.
Richard smiles.
“Hello again.”
