The 100 Day Project - Day 73 of My "1 Motif 100 Ways" Pattern Series
Today I took the same texture photo that I used yesterday and changed it to be less dense. It's layered behind another motif made by manipulated and mirroring elements of my original motif.
The 100 Day Project - Day 72 of My "1 Motif 100 Ways" Pattern Series
Today I did more work on creating vector textures today and making them into repeating surface pattern designs. I wanted the effect of spray paint, but was too lazy to go buy a can of paint and spray it on paper (which I do want to do one day.) I took a photo of asphalt that I already had, used Image Trace in Adobe Illustrator and then moved the shapes around until it had some spaces that were sparse and some that were dense. This is just a small sampling of the overall effect.
