I have decided it’s very likely that Venom is the one who told Helena that Eddie loved her after being explicitly told not to say anything because it was too soon and he didn’t want to freak her out. So the next time they saw her Venom immediately told her because he’s a Grade A wingman like that

Eddie: [very deep, very annoyed sigh] Will you excuse us for one second? [turns his back to her] Why the hell would you do that? What was the one thing I asked you not to do?

Venom: We need to be open with our feelings, Eddie. Communication is important in a good relationship!
