Vegan Eggless Custard Cake
This vegan custard cake doesn't need eggs and is a delicious dessert that's great for any event. It's fluffy, light, and tastes great with vanilla. Plus, it doesn't have any dairy at all!
Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 cup plant-based milk such as almond or soy milk. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 cup vegan butter, melted. 2 tablespoons cornstarch. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder for color. Pinch of salt.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Add plant-based milk, melted vegan butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth and well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool completely in the pan. Once cooled, slice and serve. Enjoy!
