The bright flavors of Bombay street food inspired these quick vegan party snacks. They are soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. They are full of tasty things that will impress your guests.
Ingredients: 2 cups chickpea flour. 1/2 cup water. 1 onion, finely chopped. 1 tomato, finely chopped. 1/2 cup frozen green peas. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1 teaspoon ground coriander. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder. 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder. Salt to taste. Oil for frying.
Instructions: Mix chickpea flour, water, chopped tomato, chopped onion, chopped green peas, chopped cilantro, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt in a bowl. Mix it well so that you get a thick batter. Put oil in a deep pan and heat it over medium-low heat. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy. To make sure the food cooks evenly, flip the spoonfuls of batter every so often. When they are done, take the fritters out of the oil and set them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain the extra oil. Put it on the table hot with your favorite vegan chutney or dipping sauce.
