Return to Normalcy ║ Alela ﹠ Laurita
"Yes, Lord Vader. I'll even personally deliver the report to the Emperor, if you'd like."
The smoke from the lethal explosion still lingered in the air, calmly spreading its fingers across the hazy atmosphere. The last threats to the Empire had been done away with; all that remained of the Prism's convicts was the ash that now drifted into the never-ending depths of Coruscant.
Everything could finally go back to the way it was before.
A silent nod from the imposing Sith Lord left Laurita bending forward in a brief bow. To have Darth Vader trust him so readily with the task of recounting events from this coup was a great honor to the lieutenant. He would do all in his power to make his new role-model, his new mentor, proud.
"I'll get to work on it straight away, my lord," Laurita declared purposefully. When Vader gave nothing more than a dismissive gesture, he lightly pressed his lips together and turned on his heels, pompously making his way down the length of the concourse in search of a willing co-pilot.

Maul jumped up, unfolding his legs as his senses went wild. His eyes shot open, and stared ahead at the entrance to the underground caverns on Ruusan. They had awakened. He frowned, gritting his teeth. "Well, it seems you've both woken something going for that trinket." he shook his head, his own words of 'leaving those places to be forgotten' echoed in his head. "Sometimes, the secrets in these places are best left not know, else something is stirred and awakened. Perhaps I'll see a bit of history today." He hoped off the rock, and walked up to the entrance, where he stared into the dark.
He sat on a large boulder, cross legged, just before the entrance to the labyrinth like caves system that led to the Valley of the Jedi. He'd been here for a while, using the Nexus nearby to hid himself. He'd sensed the four Jedi roaming in the caves below for a while. Rein, and 3 others, one of whom was most definitely a fallen Jedi, now Sith. He sighed when he felt that Jedi-made-Sith's Dark Side aura spike at the same time as Rein's Light Side aura. "Artifacts of Sith or Jedi origin as best left where they lay, and places with a string Force Nexus should be cautiously explored or avoided all together. But Sith and Jedi all believe they have rights to those places. Yes, we do, but sometimes the things left behind are not worth the events that befall those who find them, whether it is a Light Side object or Dark Side one. Wonder is someone will die down there today, and become another specter trapped with the millions of others." he leaned forward, opening his eyes as if he could see into the planet's core and watch the fight about to take place. "I hope both survive, as I like Rein and he knows things, and I'd like to talk with this Jedi-made-Sith."
The Unknown Streets
Patrolling Coruscant is a job for troopers. Not Adepts..
Alela had been recently sent out to check on all of the major areas on Coruscant. This was only the third time she has done this, yet she felt that she was doing someone else's job, while they were doing her job. This is part of my job.. she thought, rather regretting the time she offered to do this.
The Adept had already checked a majority of the places, and seemed to lose track of where she was heading. None of the buildings looked familiar to her, as the others had. The question that remained in her mind as she continued down the nearly empty street repeated in her mind. Where am I? Of course, the answer to that was unknown, and probably would remain that way.
Alela suddenly began to sense that there was a possible threat nearby. She found herself holding her lightsaber a moment later, ready to defend herself from whatever it was.
Only one day had passed since the stealthy evacuation from Coruscant. Moff Trachta and Darth Vader had mostly been keeping to themselves as they waited to arrive at the Prism, but every so often they'd meet to discuss possible courses of action once the hidden prison was located.
And now happened to be one of those moments.
Vader had called Trachta away from his usual post in the medical chamber, wishing to privately speak with him on matters that remained undisclosed to the remaining passengers aboard. Though the Moff still had little reason to trust Lieutenant Tohm, he didn't like the idea of leaving the Emperor alone in the vicinity, and had asked Laurita to take his place at the head of the stasis chamber while he met with Vader. Laurita agreed, and he now loyally kept watch over the bed-ridden Emperor.
In all truth, Laurita would've rather endured a private meeting with Lord Vader than to have to stand in the cold, bright medical chamber. The room made him nervous; he always did his best to keep out of it when he could. If anything, it served as a nagging reminder of what Gentis had done, especially since the victim lay practically lifeless before him, hooked up to dozens of wires and breathing aids.
A deep sigh escaped his lips as he pressed his hand to the glass of the stasis chamber, carefully regarding a screen to his left that displayed the Emperor's vital signs. By the look of it, he didn't seem to be improving, and Laurita's fingers slowly closed into a fist. He still couldn't comprehend why Gentis would do something like this; didn't he understand what he'd gotten himself into, especially if his coup failed?
It had only been a few hours into their flight towards the Prism, and Laurita was already growing restless with anticipation. So much had happened in the last few hours; it all seemed so surreal to the young Imperial Lieutenant as he thought back to it now.
They betrayed me... They betrayed the Empire. Why...? Laurita buried his face in the palm of his hand, hunching over in his seat.
None of it made any sense. None of it. As Imperials, they pledged their loyalty and their lives to the Emperor, swore to enforce his rule throughout the galaxy, no matter the cost. They knew what lay in store for them; they knew that they risked everything, including their safety. If anything, they should be proud to die for the Emperor. Laurita considered it an honor to serve him.
But clearly others did not feel the same.
All because of one cowardly terrorist attack -- led by an elite group selected by Headmaster Gentis, himself -- the Emperor was dying, along with the fragile state of peace that once existed in the galaxy. It was frightening to think of what could happen if Gentis succeeded in this assassination attempt.
And let it only be an attempt.
Laurita raised his eyes to the window on his right, pressing his lips to his palm as he watched the numerous stars and planets zoom past his view. He only hoped that they'd reach the Prism in time.
