Wrote this under the tags of another post, but I feel like I need to type up a short post about it myself because aaaaaa

So in that alleyway fight, Vein uses only his right hand, then specifically uses his left hand to flick and pat Xia Fei (for anyone who's missed it, Vein is ambidextrous)(also my phone autocorrected for to Fei I'm really in it now)

Either he specifically restricted himself to his right hand so that he could touch Xia Fei without tainting him with dirt or "filth" or "violence", OR he made the conscious/subconscious choice to switch to his left hand only when he wanted to touch Xia Fei and realised his right hand was "dirty" (I'm assuming he would have awareness of which hand he was using during the fight)

Either way AAAAAA

Thinking about Vein-Liu Xiao-Lu Guang-Cheng Xiaoshi as a twisted version of the story of Orpheus & Eurydice

I think it's obvious enough why Vein is in that mix(what with the heavy underworld/hell imagery in his PV, and what his role seems to be), but I wanted to include Liu Xiao. If Vein is a Hades that would be offended rather than softened by the act of devotion and desperation(like, "no one gets out of the underworld!!how dare you!!"), Liu Xiao is a Persephone who would be amused rather than moved.

Coincidentally, the countdown posters really help with the vision. Cause y'know, Orpheus had to perform a song in order to get his chance in the first place, and in his poster, Lu Guang seems to be framed as a performer about to go on stage. In the audience: Vein(special seat?), and Liu Xiao(very helpfully, holding flowers!). Whether the tape represents Cheng Xiaoshi being kept out because of his photography(in context of the posters' theme), or Lu Guang being kept away from him, I think it also adds to it.

To add on about Liu Xiao's amusement:

...yeahhh. Especially taking into consideration how the content of the sonnets he's reading kind of fit Lu Guang-Cheng Xiaoshi, with poetry also being a form of expression, not unlike how Orpheus would've strummed and sung. I think, in light of the recent trailer, we can assume this is a representation of how he views shiguang's tragic situation: entertainment, fun, like a game

TL;DR: The story of Orpheus and Eurydice if Hades and Persephone were 'evil', and if Orpheus could only bring back Eurydice by being stuck in their tale of tragedy. Will the ending really change by closing night?
