The story would've benefitted from Thessaly. It would've been nice to have an antagonist that was doing things because she actually disliked Dream and wanted him to suffer.
The whole mismatched bits and pieces with Nada, Hettie and Lyta works okay, but Hettie has no reason to wish Dream ill, and Lyta is blinded by lies. Nada has the right to be mad.
So none of them are really in the wrong. And all of them are like... kinda against Dream, aiding his demise, but no one is in it a 100%, even Lyta doesn't seem to really realize what she's doing.
There's no strong player that's driving Dream into his death, except ofc the Kindly Ones but that's their role and duty.
Idk hope this makes sense. Would've been nice for the story to have a stronger, throughout line of ill intent.
