Repost: @ye_torres:It’s not that I’m crazy… it’s that I quite literally don’t give a fuck. A good friend recently told me that people ask him what is it exactly that I do. I forget that being a full time artist is still a romantic and incomprehensible choice to most people, especially those who aren’t brave enough to live life on the fringe, to be self motivated to create every day while inventing a self-employment model that quite literally allows you to do whatever you want. And in my case, I made this choice June 2006 - this choice to do whatever the fuck I want with my life. What I chose was to become is a Full Time Artist. And now here I am, 10 years later - no longer a beginner and following the path of hybrid forms of artistry that allow me to do my creative work and to make a living as I see fit. To me, that means I get to do whatever the fuck I want. And what I want is to continue to be an Artist. I currently identify as a Fire Bellydancer, movement instructor, model, muse and someone who will show you why storms are named after people if you dare trigger me in a negative way.
