Art summary year 2025

I said I'd focus more on my OCs this year, and I did! Anything outside of OCs was Touhou (as I've been going to Touhoufest every year), PSG (because I love the style and the second season is SO GOOD), and my collab with Klepto to draw Hazbin characters!

I wasn't able to draw a comic like I had wanted this time last year, but I did do a lot of world building and mapping things out in general for my OCs. I'd like to try and be a little more realistic and just make a website focusing on showcasing my characters. I've been meaning to get an actual domain name and everything for a while now.

Thank you to everyone that has enjoyed my art and my characters. I'm sorry to everyone that found me through fanart that I no longer draw, but I hope you enjoy my style regardless.

My goal for this year is to try and stop being shy about talking about my characters, but we'll see.

I hope 2026 will be kind to us all.

Art summary year 2024 Happy 10 years of art summaries!

2024 was a year full of OCs as I started my first DnD campaign and I decided to seriously start focusing more on my original characters.

As I predicted last year, outside of OC stuff, I drew a lot of Touhou, and I'll be continuing that trend into next year.

My goal for this year is to start drawing a comic for my OCs. For real this time. I have some things drafted and I want to stop being nervous about putting it out into the world. I know none of my ideas are original, but I want to do something I enjoy and I'm proud of so I'd like to have the confidence to do that.

Thank you to everyone that's stuck by for the past 10 years. I hope to continue to draw for 10 more.

I don't know if anyone here specifically follows me for my OC content, but if you do (for some reason even though I draw them maybe only a few times a year, it's very sporadic), I just wanted to say thank you, and I appreciate you so much.

I always get very shy drawing OC content because it's very much for myself, and sometimes the concepts are very silly, and it's very scary to put yourself and your ideas out there, especially if they seem cliche?

So to anyone that likes and enjoys my self-indulgent (mostly) monster boys, thank you!

Art summary year 2023

A lot of Touhou this year! The beginning of the year had me sewing a lot, but I was able to join a few smaller projects, so that was fun.

New AA stuff had me explore a new chibi style that I've enjoyed drawing in recently. I also started my first DND campaign recently, and have drawn a lot as of November, but I can't publicly post the drawings yet or they are just doodles. Just know that I've drawn a lot this past 2 months than I have in a while. And it's all OC stuff!

2024 will have me drawing a lot of Touhou for an event in April. I'm also looking forward to drawing from some older fandoms that will be having anniversaries soon.

I haven't been drawing 'regular proportions' or in a 'regular anime style' recently, so I'm always afraid of scaring people off that have liked my work in that style vs the style I draw in now.

Thank you to everyone that's stuck around for so long. I appreciate everyone's support and to those that enjoy my works. Last year was not good, but I hope 2024 will inspire me to want to continue to draw, and I hope one day my art can inspire someone artistically as well.

Belated art summary year 2022

I’m really embarrassed and disappointed with how little I drew this year... In the 8 years I’ve been posting these, this is the first year I’ve drawn so little, and have missed months.

I’m really bummed out. I found some new art styles that really inspired me, but I don’t think I’ve improved much with how little I drew. I replayed a lot of games from when I was younger tho and met a lot of really great people.

I hope this year will be better for art, but I feel like lately I’ve been doing a lot more sewing and crafting than drawing. I don’t ever want to stop drawing, but if I do, well... who knows.

Art summary year 2021

Got to draw more of my OC this year and explore more with color palettes! I did a lot of AA stuff this year, so I’m not sure where I’ll go next year.

Not sure what my goal is, but I’d like to draw more OCs next year as well. I hope I can improve more next year and inspire others with my art as well!

Art summary year 2020

Year after year I don’t really know where the time goes or even if I’m improving any, but I did a lot of paper/traditional sketches and colored digitally. I think that’s been fun.

Recently, I’ve been rethinking the way I’d like to draw my chibis and I explored a few different ways to color. (Blurring the eyes and making them glowy has been super fun and I’d like to do that more in the future if I can figure out how to do it again correctly.)

I thought this year would be my AA year, but well. I’m trying to sell off all of my older merch to make new stuff as I continue growing and experimenting in my art.

I hope 2021 will be kinder to us all, and I hope my art can inspire others as well.
