The narration and the dialog are refreshingly well translated. It reads like your average Good BL visual novel, characters use natural sounding idioms.
The gamey elements are godawfully translated. Everything reads like NU:Carnival update notes, and you're badly walked through the systems. Doesn't feel like they ease you into stuff much.
SO MANY MENUS. Too many menus. The buttons feel hostile like they don't wanna be pressed... the sauce isn't there. Plus the horizontal disposition making everything even more jumbled, and the loading screen between every menu, eugh.
The game simply doesnt feel very inviting on an interface level, which is a shame because Niiro is really cute. I'd be interested in reading/watching its content but I can't stomach actually pressing those fucking buttons over and over again in the one life God gave me.
This experience makes me even more in awe of how fucking well put together and polished NU: Carnival is. Pinkcore simply acquired all of the Sauce and isn't letting anyone else use it.
I suppose it's a case of Taiwan number 1 forever when it comes to appealing to western sensibilities
It's cool that Walter doesn't poop though.
