The Moss Report
the moss in the east corridor has begun growing over the bulletin board again.
it now lists three missing spoons, one love letter, and a complaint about the temperature of the tea.
the editor insists this does not qualify as news,
but the interns disagree, and the moss has requested to remain anonymous.
delilah’s column is late, the kettle’s haunted again,
and the presses are groaning like something in them remembers the ocean.
still, it’s good to be back.
the newsroom hums,
and somewhere under all the chaos,
a story starts to take root.
