It’s been quite a journey. I never thought I’d travel this far in my academic career—and certainly not be finishing with a Masters of Science in an engineering program from a top ranked public institution like UW. I’m incredibly proud of the work I’ve done and the obstacles I’ve overcome. I also recognize how fortunate and privileged I am as US-born Hispanic American to have had this opportunity and the support of my network of loved ones and colleagues.
