Sanri was prepared. She had sent a notice ahead of time, telling the owners that she will be taking the Mermaid's Tear. She prepared a way inside. Earlier that week she had gotten the building plan from one of her mother's friends, and already figured out to use a small open window in the more abandoned part of the mansion. It seemed closed but it was actually opened, and most people didn't even check it since it was too far away from the place where the gem was. As a precaution though, she had a person on the inside who was hired a month before as a maid (another of her mother's friends). Now she was standing outside the little window. She peered inside and no one was around. Sighing, she removed the window and climbed in. Then she put it back as though it was still ok. Quietly as a mouse, she began to creep closer to the place where the gem was supposed to be. She successfully got to it; it only required some smoke bombs and slight diversions. Now she was in the room (she stole the key to it and magically got through the other defences on the door), and was scanning around for more traps, especially around the gem which was in the centre of the room. That was always suspicious.
