MINERVA ORLAND AESTHETIC for @venomoustigress
@venomoustigress liked for a starter!
he was surprised to see minerva orland here today. normally, OG goldmine would make sure to be here if he knew she was visiting. and right now, not many people were in the guild. still, DJ sent her a wide smile and waved at her. “yo, what’s up minerva! kinda feel bad to be the one to tell ya, but OG goldmine isn’t in today. but if you’re not busy you can always hang here!” he wasn’t planning on going anywhere. but he never did plan when he went some places, either.

Ah yes, the Nakagami armor. The God Mode Armor. A bullshit op move, and a poor excuse for Mashima to make her victorious in her fight against Minerva.
I abhor it. A lot.
I abhor the idea of Erza having to win against Minerva, as if it is completely absurd for her to lose, since her body was in a crucial condition after fighting against Kagura. ( in which Kagura annihilated her, let’s be real. ) Since when it is wrong to lose someone? To lose to someone considerably powerful? Loss makes it up for experience, and this is something that applies for everyone. Erza’s physical condition wasn’t great and the fact that she had to win because fairy tail needed to win, just pisses me off. The fact that Mashima introduces such powerful characters and makes them completely at fairy tail’s mercy, enrages me. Because it devalues all the development that he was trying to build on, and throws it in a trashcan.
He has done this multiple times. But i’m going to focus on this matter, since i don’t want to get out of topic.
The fact that being victorious is the only way for Erza and for fairy tail to win, pisses me off. There’s nothing wrong with losing. Erza cold have lost and Fairy Tail could have still won, since that was the purpose of this arc. In fact, it would have given her much more development if she were to lose. But Mashima being Trashima ( credit to mandy for the name ), he has a tendency to create very powerful characters with little to no chances of defeating them and somehow they lose.
And don’t get me started on that bullshit of an armor. Slicing of magic and such??? Breaking the laws of the universe?? Literally he disregarded his own work on and construction of the universe and its laws that he has set in, for the sake of victory. Because Fairy Tail had to win. It would have made more sense for Erza to lose, and someone like Laxus to come and defeat Minerva ( credit goes to Ari for her headcanon )
I understand that this mess of an arc was created solely to restore fairy tail’s reputation, but the way it was done it was so poor, my cat can fart a better plotline than this.
Erza should have never won against Minerva. Period.

NOTWITHSTANDING THE PERPETUAL SMILE UPON HIS FACE, the sentiment of surprise and wonderment was still there. His hands were positioned atop his sides, as concealed hues of deep blue were staring at the sight beyond him. And soon, his deep voice would HALT the silence amid the ambiance.

Cigarette smoke rose into the air, carried away from his person and into the night air by the gentle breeze. To those who passed him by, he simply appeared as a solemn youth smoking on the marble steps of a Paris townhouse, but to those who knew him, he was an experienced watchman and skilled bodyguard keeping guard of his kin as the witching-hour set in.
Casting his gaze to the sky, an almost-full moon gazed back at him, and reminded him of the often insatiable thirst he - and so many others - suffered from. It wasn’t something he could dwell on for much longer - not now - as the sound of high-heels on polished stone drew his attention to the woman descending the stairs.
Everything seemed off. Usually, his troubles came in the form of too great a Dhampir presence in the city, but tonight was quiet - too quiet - and he didn’t like it one bit.
“ Something’s not right tonight. ” Breaking the silence, and snuffing his cigarette on the gold-veined marble beneath him, the Dhampir rose to his feet to acknowledge his father’s long-time friend - someone that Baltasar himself had become reasonably loyal to over the years. “ Anyone would be a fool to cross you, Minerva, but ... you may want to be careful. ”

“ i hear that your guild has the ... trust of your crown, ” annabelle said quietly, hands folded neatly in front of her --- not because she had suddenly become timid but to keep the letter from sliding out of her sleeve and attracting the kind of attention she had been desperately hoping to avoid. “ would it be possible for you to get a letter from me to pri--- queen hisui without it being intercepted, ms orland? ”
