Actually I'm getting fucking sick of all these think pieces and YouTube video essays and magazine articles pondering and expounding on and on about the oh so incredibly mysterious case of Heated Rivalry and its runaway popularity, endless head scratching and circuitous questioning when the answer is: ITS REALLY REALLY FUCKING GOOD!!!!! ITS A GREAT SHOW!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!!! There are no coyly phrased click baity headlines about what REALLY made Game of Thrones so popular. I'm so fucking tired of being pandered to by a media that is constantly condescending to the success of this show just because it has explicit gay content in it. ITS SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE ITS FUCKING GOOD YOU SANCTIMONIOUS DICKHEADS!!!!!!!

I’ve recently seen some interviews where a few of the now-former production team are insisting Marinler is strictly platonic. In one, the shippers are even acknowledged and it’s claimed the pairing has the potential to be canonized in an “alternate universe.”

While it’s certainly nice to at least be acknowledged, I still have to insist the narrative they’re trying to manufacture off-screen and after the fact is completely counter to what was conveyed in the show itself.

Long stares, fond looks, a heavy co-dependency, very, very frequent physical contact and a strong need for physical closeness, interest in each other’s dating lives, mutual admission of physical attraction, flirtatious dialogue and teasing banters, insight and knowledge into each other not matched with anyone else, etc.

It’s even been established they have a bond that transcends universes and timelines.

Little of the aforementioned apart can be read as “platonic.” All together just as we got in this show, even less so.

Not sorry, McMahan and crew; the show’s over. You can’t rewrite the entire relationship of two characters after the fact.

The matchmaker set Malcolm up with a teen?? Can they do that? I have no mods for teen-adult romance. 5k simoleons gone…

Anyway, during that useless "date", Malcolm rolled a want to marry this random ass dormie named Chatarina Kong, with whom he had almost no chemistry. Since I was in IDGAF mood, the wish was granted.

They got married in the church of Holy Plumpig, because I didn't want to build a new wedding location for Pleasantview.

In my mind, Malcolm is a creepy, entitled guy who wants to have many children with different women purely to "ensure the Landgraab legacy continues." That's why a poor student who quits college for him and becomes dependent on him would be perfect for a man like Malcolm.
