Well, hmm how should I start. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one with insecurities, but for some reason, these insecurities are kind of ruining me. I'm not pretty, I have so many flaws, I'm not girly or petite, and I'm not the type of girls guys fall for. Growing up with skin asthma has really taken a big effect on my attitude. It's dragged my confidence way down. I always look around and see beautiful girls, tall, slim, light skinned, and flawless. Even my boyfriend looks at them, and yeah it hurts when he does, and yes I do overreact when he looks at the other girls, but it's because it makes me feel so bad, that I can't be pretty enough for my boyfriend to focus on me when we go out, but I guess that's normal, right? 

I remember being teased and bullied about my skin when I first moved here to the Philippines. My first year in high school was awful. I was called names like, "athlete's skin" and "Dalmatian". When I went to the mall wearing shorts, these two girls were talking about me, they said that I looked gross and that I should wear shorts cause of my skin. I never wanted to go out again. I cried every night before I went to bed because of everything. On top of being in a new place with no friends, I was being bullied, I mean like, who would want that? 

After I got settled down here, I was finally used to the teasing, and the teasing was actually lessened. Most guys didn't like me, they would always go to me and ask me to help them court my friend or something. But sometimes there were guys who liked me, but they only wanted one thing, we all know what that is, but when I didn't agree about it, they left me, they suddenly disappeared.

Until now, people stare at me because I look different, but it doesn't bother me that much. I finally found a guy that accepts me and deals with my attitude. Sometimes I just wish that I was good enough for him, he tells me I am but I don't think so. I wanna be pretty for him, slim for him, I wanna be a girl that he can be proud of. It's really nice to have someone say that can stare you in the eyes and say that you're beautiful even if you have scars all over your body, even if your skins all dried out and makes you look like an old lady. 

I really wish I was strong enough to forget about these insecurities. I always pretend to be strong and happy. I pretend that I don't care about what these people have to say about me, but the truth is, it kills me inside to hear all this shit said about me, even my parents say shit to me and it hurts. I feel like I'm never going to be good enough for everyone. Sometimes I just want to stop trying and give up, but I can't because... Well because I trust that God is making me go through this because something good is going to happen to me someday... 

I wish that I could be someone that everyone can be proud of....
