An empathy map is a collaborative tool that allows teams to develop a better understanding of their customers. An empathy map, like a user persona, can represent a group of users, such as a customer segment. Dave Gray invented the empathy map, which has grown in popularity within the agile community. Our empathy map empathizes with the employees, residents, visitors, and most especially the students of Central Mindanao University. Transportation within the campus is one of the problems encountered by most students. With this, we come up with a solution, a bike rental.
Thirteen (13) students were interviewed about the bike rental at Central Mindanao University and whether they agree to have it or not. There were six (6) questions asked to each one of them to determine if they are going to use our bike rental once it is produced in the market. Some of the students interviewed were done online using Facebook Messenger. It is a way of minimizing the time in gathering the data but at the same time, ensuring that the students were given enough time to respond to the questions given. Fortunately, all of the thirteen students who were interviewed agreed to have the bike rental as it will help every citizen in Central Mindanao University when it comes to fast and accessible transportation. Overall, it is a great solution for the student's need for transportation as long as the price is negotiable and is in the student budget range.
Our group's communication was a very effective way of understanding our task and working together to achieve our interdependent goal. The leadership spirit of each one of us made our tasks and responsibilities possible as we are able to finish and submit our data on time. Leadership is a process of using communication to influence the behaviors and attitudes of others to achieve group goals. Individuals rely on their ability to communicate to transfer information throughout the day. Whether we speak, listen, write notes or letters, email, or text message, the process of communicating thoughts, ideas, and feelings is something we value and put into consideration. The art of good communication aids in the development of trust, respect, and understanding in structured group situations. It helps to create a positive learning environment.
Technology is now an excellent tool for effective group communication. Because of this, we are able to fulfill our duties and responsibilities in gathering our data. Technology makes it more possible for our group to share our ideas and opinions, especially for improvements. Often, our group finds it difficult to meet at the same time and place. This is one of the reasons why technology made it possible to hear everyone's ideas and share their ideas in an organized manner through various platforms such as Google Groups, Facebook Messenger, and others so that other members can read them at their leisure.
