Para servir mejor a nuestra audiencia de habla española, y cumplir con nuestra meta a largo plazo de crear un sitio en español completo de VenusPlusX, nos hemos embarcado en la traducción de nuestro material, comenzando con algunos de nuestros mensajes más filosóficos. Cada blog que se está traduciendo lleva una anotación al tope y al fondo de la lectura que dice "Haga clic aquí para Español." La traducción al español tiene una nota recíproca "Haga clic aquí para Inglés." Hasta que nuestro sitio Web en español esté completo, se puede acceder al material traducido mas reciente entrando al índice de español aquí o a través de la barra de menú, "Español", en la parte superior de la pantalla. La página de índice también proporciona un enlace a una traducción al español del "Manifiesto de Philos" de la novela de Theodore Sturgeon Venus Mas X. Announcing VenusPlusX in Spanish
To better serve our Spanish-speaking audiences, and meet our long-term goal of creating a complete Spanish-language VenusPlusX site, we have embarked on translation of our material, staring with some of our more philosophical posts. Every blog that is currently translated bears a notation at the top and bottom reading “Click here for Spanish.” The Spanish translations have a reciprocal notation “Click here for English.” Until our Spanish-language site is complete, you can access the latest translated material by choosing our Spanish index page here or through the menu bar, Español, at the top of the screen. The index page also provides a link to a Spanish translation of “Philo’s Manifesto” from Theodore Sturgeon’s novel Venus Plus X. This very powerful and visionary statement, written in 1960, helps quickly establish how we view the challenge and benefits of achieving universal freedom of sexual orientation and gender expression. As great as is the challenge of trans acceptance in English speaking countries, the status of transfolk in Latin America is much worse, with murders reported every other day. We hope by opening VenusPlusX.org to the Spanish speaking community we will be able to inspire others faced with prejudice, hatred, and bigotry to have their voices heard, find their own inner joy, and reject the shame and guilt projected by a failed society.
