Goodbye, Vera Finch. She brought light and life back into Robert’s life following the war, and though they had a rocky relationship for most of their marriage, she will be deeply missed by her husband and children.

Later that morning, the rest of the family went down to the shore to look for Vera, without success. But little did they know, that this shock would only be the beginning of troubles for their family.

Over the years, Vera’s mental state only got worse. More and more she would rant and rave at the air, and alcohol certainly did not help matters. Often she would go out walking by the sea in the early mornings when the house was still asleep. Though she was only in her stockings and undergarments, she did not care. She loved that cold sea air.
