Step, step, step, turn. Step, step, step, turn.
Like he had been for the past few hours, Choromatsu continued to pace a short line across the bedroom floor, a shudder occasionally visible in his shoulders. Even the interruption of his brother’s voice didn’t cause him to pause. His heavy breathing was carefully metered, in for four, out for four, an attempt from Choromatsu to calm himself.
[ It wasn’t working. ]
After a few moments of silence, he finally paused and straightened up his back, directing his gaze- part panic, part frustration- straight at Jyushimatsu.
“ Accident? I don’t care if it was an accident or on purpose, you broke your arm. And we had no clue where you were for the past five hours! The only notice we got was from the hospital an hour ago! Just… Jyushimatsu. I have no idea what to do. ”
[ The ‘with you’ was left unspoken. ]
There wasn’t too much more to say. The third brother kept focus on his own anger. Continuously going back and forth. Jyushimatsu’s eyes followed the whole time. Feeling less and less at ease with every turn.
“Ehh...” Boy, his brother’s anger felt completely different from the usual. It was oddly more impacting without being so over the top and loud. He honestly felt in trouble this time. “Really Choromatsu-nii-san.” Nervously, he kept on smiling. “You don’t need to keep that up. In fact! You don’t have to do anything! I’m fine now.” He was home. The cast was on. There wasn’t anything else to worry about.
