The Missing Star

She found a the gold star on a chain between the cliffs, in the small Provençal hilltop town,  musing at the Le Cote Jardin, among jasmine, theatrical roses, mulberry trees, chirping birds, a thousand shades of green lush trees sloping into abyss, a lavender drift lulling her deeper into the waking myth, the far away cumulus clouds against a blue struck sky reminding her of windows into paradise, running as the Verdon River, along her path.
