Imagine how the world would be, so very fine, so happy together

“Wait, wait just a little while Just behind the nightsuns black vile”
The children jumped over the yard, their shadows black and with sharp outlines as if cut out of dark flimsi in the stark light of the two green suns.
“Soon he will come to you, And take you away too “ They clapped their small hands together in the tact of their singsang- it was a strange peaceful picture: The orphanage had taken in children who had lost their families in the Clone Wars yet the building itself was with its durasteel walls still black from blasterfiremarks very much a stark remainder of the Clone Wars even years later. In the green light of the suns the area with the ruins looked lush and overgrown, but it was a illusion- the ground was only sparsely covered in grass, the trees were as still as small as the children and the vegetable garden Ziv was growing in the back of the house whenever she had time in the evening when the children were sleeping, was nothing but thin meager ranks that could be easily blown away by a stark gust of wind.
“He has the the red hatchet And he'll stuff you in the sachet. Noone will hear And you will disappear, Wait, wait just a little while Just behind the nightsuns black vile.”
Yet the sunlight was still warm, a almost strange delight after the long winter on the planet and the benches made of debris were warmed by the light and if one was looking with half closed eyes the world around them could almost look like a deep, old forest. “They think at very dark nights a monster is coming and snatches them out of their beds.”, Ziv explained as she sat down beside Nadine with a pot of tea and two cups she put down between them. The tea was deep red and smelled in the nose as hot and spicey like pepper would feel on the tounge. Ziv took a sip and blinked slowly- she looked tiered and exhausted: Her eyes were dark circles as if circled with cole, her pelt was dul land looked almost grey and her nose was instead of a fresh pink now almost blueish: “When I came here they had a mild epidemic of blue fever in the orphanage but I got it fixed, - am disinfecting the whole kriffing house everyday with Earthroot-oil, change every child's bedsheets everyday, wash their cloth every morning, kriffing kicked out every single member of the kitchen staff who would not wash their paws and kriffing hammered into the caretakers heads what to look out for, really, nothing more going to happen there. Pretty sure the carestakes hate me now because they have to cook themself, but what-kriffing-ever, never been good at making friends anyway, who needs kriffing friends in the first place for kriffs sake-.”, Ziv leaned her head back, pulling in the air and yawning surpressed, before she continued: “ Two girls are still feverish and isolated but they are happy they can hang around in my room so as soon as they get out they will tell that they had been playing all the time with my surgery-set and will be the kriffing coolest. Am trying to grow some vegetables in the back of the house since most old stuff growing around here is still poisonous from the war. Already got my first kriffing meager harvest, but pups are not fond of vegetables. I got the pups vaccinations refreshed, ran blood,- allergies,- and diseases- tests on all of the pups and made a analyse of their health so the caretakers have now a proper folder with all their allergies and medical conditions to look into when I go away again. I am definitive not payed enough here, just kriffing saying. No, no kriffing saying, I am running on my last kriffing breath here and will probably just kriffing collaps in the next five minutes so listen kriffing closely.”, Ziv tapped a sharp claw against a window on the high left corner and typed in a ridiculously long password before the datapad made a quiet chirp and the young woman handed the extra-dates to Nadine on the datapad:“This is why I called you- two of them are force-sensitive. I made that blood-tests, too.”
Tieredly Ziv took another sip of her tea and did not added any details, instead she looked where the other pups were still playing their little clapping-game and where their shadows cut through the low standing suns bright light like black blades.
Tieredly Ziv did not said that it had been three of the children who had been force-sensitive.
Tieredly Ziv also did not said that two months ago when she had just came to this place to work the small Twi’lek-boy had just vanished - the last night time the midnightsun had been black. Instead she only looked at the playing children, a worried line cutting like a scar between her furred eyebrows in her face.

INJURY STARTERS | [ open ]
Wide blue eyes peer out from his X-Wing. He’d been muttering not so silent frustrations at the ship, finding out the hard way how difficult it is to repair these parts with only one hand.
It had only been a few days since he’d lost his right one to Vader. If Leia caught him out of the med center, she’d surely give him a lecture he wouldn’t soon forget. But he’s tired of laying around, replaying the same scene over and over again, trying but failing desperately to reach out to Ben for answers. Left alone with nothing but his anger and fear. So when he received the news that his X-Wing had been recovered from the city in the clouds, it’s the perfect excuse to get out of bed despite the med droid’s protests. The ship had gotten him to Bespin in one piece, but after being submerged on Dagobah it hadn’t flown as smoothly as it should’ve. Its maintenance is the perfect distraction he needs.
His muttering must’ve been louder than he’d thought. Sheepishly, he puts his tools down and uses his left hand to hoist himself out of the ship. “ I’m sorry . Am I being disruptive ? “ He asks, peering down at her. Her face is a familiar one, he’s seen her around before. But he doesn’t think he’s ever spoken to her.

The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen. Begun, the Clone War, has. The words echoed in Rush’s mind as she sat, staring blankly at the fountain before her. The young Padawan had been by herself for the better part of the afternoon, not quite possessing the energy she normally had to interact with others.
Exhaustion was to be expected after what happened on Geonosis. But not like this. Not to this level. This was something entirely new. Sure, Rush had seen conflict before, but never on such a grand scale. Then with the looming prospect of being at war on top of that? All the poor girl wanted to do was sleep- but even that had eluded her, as every time she tried to, she would only be tormented with memories of the battle, as if the pain in her hands wasn’t enough.
Tired eyes shifted their gaze lower, focusing on her own hands. Pain seeped from underneath the bandages that wound from her fingertips to her elbows. Electrical burns lay at the source of the pain- the result of a split second decision during the battle, that would see the young Padawan completing physical therapy for a few weeks yet, and provide a harsh reminder to the girl of the first time she ever tasted war. She just hoped that the billowing sleeves of her Jedi robes would hide the bandages from prying eyes, and avoid any awkward questions about what happened. There was no hiding the one on her face though. A short, yet deep laceration ran diagonally across her cheek, just under her right eye. While it had been seen to by the Healers, and bandaged appropriately, she had been told that it would scar. That would definitely bring many questions. Especially since someone had just sat down beside her. Not quite registering at first, the Padawan jumped in mild fright when her sleep-deprived mind decided to return to the present. “Oh!! Oh I'm so sorry, I didn’t see you there!”

She looked up from what she'd been working on, taking a moment to register that it was her the commando was speaking to. "Thank you, I think I'll be alright for now," She shrugged as she spoke, but her tone was friendly. "Niner, right? You don't need to call me General. I'm just a Jedi." There was no malice or annoyance to the correction, and she gave him a slight grin.
Niner nodded in response and gave her a small smile. When he had met an inexperienced and uncertain padawan on Qillura, he had learned that the Jedi who preferred to go by their own names were often the ones most sympathetic towards the clones. He was getting used to it, but it was still strange to call a general by their first name.
“Very well, Gen- er...” he paused to correct himself. “What would you prefer to be called?”
@verelis ; for nadine
SABE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE INVISIBLE, THAT WAS WHAT SHE’D BEEN TRAINED TO BE. But she was also just a woman and when Padme was away being decoyed by Corde, it gave her the opportunity to relax somewhat and be more like herself. The woman, formerly known as Tsabin, was stationed with a group of Jedi Knights and their clone squadrons, offering extra insight into the outer rim planet they were stationed on.
Her fingers wound around the glass of cool water she was holding and she looked up to see a woman of similar age standing nearby. On her hip was a tell-tale hilt and Sabe spun on her seat to directly make eye contact. ❝ You got sent out here too, huh? Or is this your choice of posting? ❞

"Padawan no!" Nadine called back exasperatedly, running after the nautolan despite her better instincts. She wouldn't normally use that title on her, not being that much older herself, but in this case...
"It's too dangerous, we have to wait and make a plan," She continued as she followed, likely in vain, "I'm not exactly equipped to perform resurrections you know!"
White knuckles gripped the hilt of a lightsaber and the young nautolan’s jaw clenched as she gazed ahead. Snow flurried around her face and stung her freckled cheeks as she ran forward, and frantic tracks trailed behind her.
“We can’t wait,” Vez shouted over the wind. “The men are heading right into a trap. We have to stop them before it’s too late.”
