How are we supposed to forget everything that happened?
Kyuwon’s body is sore. More than he thought it’d be, actually, and every wound hurts like a bitch. He tries to pretend he doesn’t feel anything as he stares at his own hands, his own fingers and suddenly he’s aware that he didn’t plan to live a life where Jonghyun wasn’t by his side. Unfortunately, he also notices that they would never be able to live a completely normal life while being together. Always hiding something from someone, always being afraid one of them might get hurt if others find out. Just because they’re men, and men aren’t supposed to be as enamored of another as they are. “I can’t forget, Jong,” Kyuwon says, but he’s not sure his boyfriend can hear him. He tries to raise his voice, to sound like the strong guy he wishes he were, and then he loses control of how loud it gets. “I would never be able to forget one single thing, and I don’t care if every memory haunts me at night and if I can’t sleep anymore, because you’ll be safe and that’s all that matters now.” Kyuwon finally looks at him even though he’s afraid of what he’ll find. “I need you to forget for me, so you can try and be with a girl who can provide you a family. A real family. Someone you can talk about during dinner with your parents, someone your grandparents can meet and not be disgusted with. I need you to, alright?”
