spartan beast-completed!
saturday was the spartan beast.
13+ miles and 30 obstacles with a combined elevation of 4,800ft gain. took me & the bf 6 hours to finish. Thank god it was warm out that day. the high ended up being 75F, which definitely helped me feel better about their being SNOW on the course. snow which of course was mostly nasty muddy slush and made everything slippery and made us slow WAYY down. i fell twice on the course and my cut up hands are proof of it, but i managed through. The toughest obstacle for this one was definitely the uphill barbed wire crawl through snow. freeezingg. I had a couple animal pick me ups along the course which was awesome. during the first barb crawl i found a frog friend in the mud with me, and through one of the steep inclines through the woods I found a snake in a creek. after the race i was looking through photos on IG and found a pic of a bear crossing the course! now theres something i wish i had seen with my own eyes! i feel soo great about the fact im gonna complete my trifecta this year! love my spartan adventures and all the wonderful people i meet out there on the course.
yesterday was a rest day, now im on my way out to the gym to keep these muscles burning.
