Birds Are Chirping

It was the birds that woke Sonetto up.

The first things she became aware of was the feeling of arms wrapped around her torso, and a head in the crook of her neck.

Vertin was laying against Sonetto, not unlike a bear. The girl was breathing softly, and Sonetto could feel each and every ache in her bones.

Slowly, very slowly, Vertin opened her eyes. She looked at up Sonetto, eyes beady and out of focus. "Wh...whazthetime...?"

"Nine minutes past nine." came the quick reply. Vertin groaned, and leaned back into Sonetto.

"Wake me... up..." she yawned. "At like... one..."

Sonetto rolled her eyes, smiling. Sleepyhead.

She'll do it, though. Maybe.
