Lately, this brand new Tumblr curated by the official VNDavis team has been getting a multitude of asks concerning the likes of a forum discussing #TEAMVND and the fans of Loreen otherwise known as the warriors. Respectfully, Veronica has declined to comment immediately on the behavior of the forum, but she has been quoted to say that she cares about her fans and that she knows that they're sensitive. Therefore, she is taking her time in creating a response that will explain to her loyal fanbase why the backlash was targeted.
The source of the backlash is mostly coming from a few graphics posted to Tumblr. Now, don't get us wrong we love ships. That to me is one of the joys of Tumblr. Team VND was targeted maliciously because of the immense amount of support and attention to given to this particular ship. People tend to forget that those put into the spotlight are typically eyed as if they are responsible for every single thing posted to the internet. Which is slightly unfair, because when you're a fan of something, you ship it. Personally, I've been shipping Veronica and Justin Timberlake since I was about nine years old, but I digress.
My solution to the problem is that you don't stop shipping. That's who you are. Yet, Tumblr has this handy dandy thing called the "submit: option that gives you the freedom to submit your graphic to one blog so that it isn't plastered all over the internet. Tumblr tags are handy too! You can tag "OTP", "SHIP", I noticed a lot of TEAMVND is missing the disclaimer that they are fans of Veronica and not her blog or her representative.
Fansites are dope, trust me. We love scrolling the Veronica N. Davis tag and seeing all of your loving posts. We actually send a great majority of them to Veronica which emits so many "BAWS" All we ask is that you be a bit more careful with your shipping and make your disclaimers clear. Don't be discouraged at all. Just be careful.
