Everyone’s got a secret.
It wasn't a secret for her, because deep down she always knew that she liked the same sex. She couldn't help it. However she knew that since she was who she was, she wouldn't be excepted. So she kept it locked down deep within the best she could. She did come to her brother Vinny and confide in him about her feelings, he was supportive, just like he always was. One day while at school, this girl that Veronica had a crush on started talking to her, she was really nice. She finally felt like she had a friend. The girl made Veronica feel special and safe, like she had actually found somebody that could look past her family and see her. The girl asked Veronica out for drinks and something to eat, and Veronica couldn't have been happier. The girls went out and had a great time, they shared smiles and laughs, and the occasional slight touch of hands when nobody was looking. After the dinner they stood outside the diner waiting for their rides, the girl leaned over and kissed Veronica. It was her first kiss. She remembered how happy it made her. The next at school she seen the girl walking up to the building and raced to catch up, slipping her hand into the other girls. Only to have her pull away and turn toward Veronica in disgust. People started watching, that's when the girl made horrible proclaims about Veronica. Calling her awful names, the others started joining in with their own name calling, someone even throwing a rock and hitting her on the side of the head. She ran as fast as she could into the school, and straight to the bathroom, people laughing at her and pushing her as she went. Finally she had enough, she caught up with the girl and confronted her about the evening before, stating out loud about the kiss they shared. The girl denied everything, calling her a freak and laughing in her face. After some time Veronica was ready for pay back. She invited the girl out into a secret spot in the woods, her brother waiting. She had recruited her brother to help her with the girl. However he thought they were just going to talk to her. Veronica had other plans, she knew her brother would do anything for her, and she for him. She knew that if she played her cards right this night would end different than both of them had expected. Once they got close enough Veronica stopped and shoved the girl as hard as she could, the two started fighting. She knew her brother wasn't far, so she started screaming for him. And just like she knew he would, he came running. After everything was said and done, Veronica sat next to her shaking brother, stroking him back, smiling and the crumpled body in front of them. She hid the body and told her brother that on one must every know about this, and they would never speak of it again.
