&& A lot of crap’s been going around this community lately that no one deserves. It’s become way more competitive than any community should—I think we all need to take a step back and look at our strengths as writers. This post is specifically towards Veronicas, because we’re the more targeted group, and I think on my part the anon working to edge into our relationships and plant doubts and sew mistrust has been working a little bit. Last night was not the first anon I’ve gotten regarding doubles, especially recently. I was in a very bad place when I answered the messages I did, which were already completely uncalled for, and I regret even answering them. I think we need to ignore every anon who tries to pit duplicates against other duplicates, because we all have our strengths and our weaknesses, none of us are perfect but none of us are shitty by any means. So I’m making this post directed towards the strengths of fellow Veronicas, because I don’t like this wall I’ve built because of anxiety and outside influences. Which is bullshit—we all love Heathers. We all love the greatest source material on this planet and I don’t know about you but I can talk about Heathers for hours.
fiightforme: Your take on movie veronica is brilliant and you fluently speak with Winona’s portrayal. She would be proud. Your dialogue is spot on and you can feel the disgruntled sass radiating off of it. A++ work Jessica, keep doin’ you.
upchuckfactor: You and me, Nat, have been compared the most. And if you can’t tell at this point I am fed up with it. Not because I think I’m better or anything dumb like that but because I love your Veronica! I think you capture musical Veronica perfectly and your threads always make me laugh. Or cry, depending. You’re fantastic at bringing out the best and worst in Veronica with your dialogue and actions and everything in between. You don’t try and warp her to be too nice or too mean, you don’t demonize her or romanticize her, and these are all very important to me. Always have been. It makes me really happy to see how real you play Veronica.
veronicaiisms: I obviously haven’t seen a ton from you yet because you only just became active (even though I saw your first post was months ago!! Happy to see you become active—super excited for more members) but when you messaged me and I checked your blog I got irrationally excited. You seem really nice and cool, and your Veronica is the perfect blend of movie and musical! I read pretty much all of your stuff yesterday and was floored by your understanding of her character! I can already tell you’re going to be a fantastic member of this community.
Seriously, I love all of your interpretations to bits and I really want everyone to get along. I now there’s been some unnecessary drama recently and I know I’ve been a part of it, but I’ve spent a lot of time these past few days thinking this over. Can we be friends and form a Veronica army of awkward 17-year-old girls?? You know, croquet mallet swinging badasses. It’s important okay.
