verorei Valentine's Day Special

Personal Headcanon that Arei goes all out for her crushes and lovers.

"I can't help but feel like you put too much effort into this to just consider me as a friend," Veronika says.

Arei looks around, the comment making her flustered. Unfortunately, Veronika was correct. She didn't consider her a friend; she'd even planned this date to ask her to be her girlfriend.

"Don't be ridiculous," Arei brushes off. "I do this for all my friends."

"Really?" Veronika starts to tease, leaning forward. Arei curses in her head. She needed to distract her before she could think about it any further.

With brilliance and quick thinking, Arei shoves a chocolate-covered strawberry into Veronika's mouth. Her eyes widen, but when she takes it out of her mouth, she doesn't question Arei's motives, "This is quite good."

"Right?" agrees Arei. "So... Will you be my girlfriend?"

"So, I was right? I'm more than I friend to you?"

Arei rolls her eyes, gestering towards the area, "Is it not obvious?"

Veronika shakes her head, but giggles, "I would love to be your girlfriend."

Before Arei could flush, or even react, she managed to feign nonchalance, "What was that? I wasn't listening."

"Hm? I'd said I'd be your girlfriend."

"I know. I just wanted to hear you say it again~"
